I should be clear that I'm not trying to shade anybody for writing on or paying for Substack, as I'm obviously here subscribing to a paid newsletter. Just expressing disappointment, though not shock, that the folks making money off bigots and grifters care more about keeping the bigots and grifters happy than their user base safe
What's wrong with "gotcha" questions anyway? Isn't that what reporters are supposed to do?
Very appropriate that this newsletter got to me right after reading another Techdirt article about a difficult interview:

Editing due to HTMLfail and because I should have been more explanatory than dropping a couple of links. I can appreciate that he might do some good reporting in unrelated areas, but he's a <a href="https://jeremyfassler.medium.com/mehdi-hasan-once-wrote-that-being-pro-life-didnt-make-him-any-less-of-a-lefty-adb827145029">misogynist</a> <a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/program/head-to-head/2014/4/2/transcript-mona-eltahawy">prick</a>. Given that women's rights are under assault everywhere, he's not someone whose work I care to read.
