You're the best, Parker. This is a spot on piece as usual. Thanks for your work.

How much, again, did ABC pay to settle Trump's bogus lawsuit?

Yes, you get people into a SOMETHING must be done hysteria, and then we can't pause for even a moment to decide if the "something" being proposed would do any good. Hey, it's SOMETHING, ain't it?

Here's a common story in gun-soaked America: Two guys get into an argument, one of them pulls out a gun and shoots the other. Now tell me: How does the National Guard change any of that?

Here, ABC, I'll help you out: Take any one of those shooting stories you reported and add in the National Guard. Are they inside the bar where the argument starts? They show up afterward to shoot the shooter? WTF are they actually DOING?

Since convicted felon trumpy doesn't care in the least about crime anywhere, the national guard troops will park their M-ATVs outside the Field Museum and stand around looking bored. Same M.O. as in DC.

I'm sure you take personal umbrage to what Trump is threatening to do as a Chicagoan, but you don't have to be from Chicago to understand how wrong that would be.

You're absolutely right that ABC News chose the "sexy" notion of rampant crime over the reality that violent crime is on the decline, feeding an overblown and ultimately inaccurate narrative on the need for more police and expanded surveillance. "Journalistic malpractice" almost doesn't seem strong enough here given Trump's despotic desires.

This is why the 'caving to Trump' media is so dangerous. Perpetuating his lies is not news coverage, it's what the Fox network does on steroids.

Our convicted felon president could not possibly care less about "crime" anywhere in this nation. He wants troops occupying blue state cities to insure the population to militarized streets in preparation for a military-run midterm election next year during which Republicans candidates will "win", bigly.

You've described the reason I no longer read hardly any "mainstream" media. ... This is not a good thing, but I don't want junk in my head.

Trump has such magical powers. He can get Democrats to oppose everything he does including all the policies and actions popular with the electorate. With respect to crime, he has permanently branded Democrats as crime enablers and non-enforcers. Idiots like Newsom come out with a scripted tough guy stance protecting criminals and denies California has a crime problem, and then being the plastic hypocrite that he is, announces he will march out the state troopers to help fight big city crime. Democrats just keep helping the Republicans capture more and more voters that escape their Democrat media gaslighting experience with all this absurd opposition to all the real problem-fixing Trump actions. Trump could cure cancer and save all the kittens and Democrats would rage that Hitler did the same!

"Trump could cure cancer..."

Yeah, what a shame he fired thousands of cancer researchers so we'll never get to test your hypothetical.

We know they're bad because Tubby fired 'em. That's how we know.

Like when every probationary employee at a federal agency gets the same email, "Your job performance is not up to standards", you know that's based on some detailed and rigorous evaluation of each employee's job performance.

"Shootings are down 37%. Homicides have fallen by 32%."

Yes, from the record highs of shootings and homicides Chicago experienced during the disastrous Biden woke defund the police era.

Oh, and "The Medical Examiner's Office also noted that there were 323 death cases from this year that were still "pending," meaning a manner of death had not been determined. So, it's likely that at least some of those deaths could be categorized as homicides."

How convenient for the Democrat cabal that runs Chicago to delay these deaths in the reporting.

Occam's Razor tells me to go with the simplest explanation, he doesn't read the articles at all. Judging by the comments he posts, he doesn't read those either.

See, we can admit crime is falling if we use it in an attack on Joe Biden. Also crime rates are skyrocketing when we need to justify what Tubby is doing. Be flexible, whatever you need in the moment to score points for your team, that's how the pros play the game.
