Absolutely love this! One thing I would love to see is a quiet & cozy interview series with people who are doing good work in the world, have achieved their own definition of 'success' and are outside the mainstream. A series that grapples with how to fend off capitalist urges to exploit or be exploited, what it can look like to love making art and embrace that and share it in ways big and small. One that doesn't shy away from the reality of economic and social choices necessary to make it all work.

Andrew is one of my absolute favorite artists and have seen him in concert many times. Cool origin stories for both of you!

The problem is that the NYT doesn't publish thoughtful, on-target pieces - or if so, rarely.

Mostly it's garbage writing by garbage people, for garbage people

This is awesome and I would like to go to there and other places with you once I am done having a demon cold. BEAUTIFUL writing, P.

OMG, Andrew Bird’s whistling adaptation of “O Holy Night” is fantastic!

Parker, I have always enjoyed your writing and love your stories on this platform--keep doing what you do so well.

Thanks! And yes! As soon as I saw O Holy Night on the setlist (I happened to have a spot next to the soundboard the other night, so I could see the one they had there), I was determined to record at least a snippet of it.

Parker, I wish you a cozy end to your year. You deserve that.

And to you, too, Mark.

There is a ton of talent out there and I wonder just how much of it is gatekept by executives and algorithms. Also, re Andrew Bird, "Skin Is, My" is a bop.
