I try not to concern myself with the personal lives of celebrities as a general rule (including Ms. Swift), so I guess I'm ahead of the game. 🤷‍♂️

Asking a lot of people, Parker, but I applaud the efford. I'd like to see this happen but too many weirdos/attention seekers out there.

I think it was Serwer who was over on bsky proposing that "inability to be normal about Taylor Swift" was one of the common signs of being Too Online.

I don’t care for swift’s music. It’s manufactured pop. She has zero space in my brain. Well maybe some, because of columns like this. I don’t wish her ill, though, and the computer generated porn is disgusting on several levels.

Ok, but hear me out...

It’s hard to find any celebrities who are, for lack of a better word (but I actually really like the word)… Wholesome. And Tswift fits that bill; I think that is a large part of her appeal, whether people realize it or not. As for the obsession with her getting weird (the obsession is weird, not her, although who knows, she is a musician), the GOP definitely HAS to make it super weird and find a way to discredit her and quickly. She already has influenced one election. Imagine if she even breathes a word of support for Biden in 2024! 😬

That AI porn stuff is horrible. It is already happening in high schools across the country. https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/04/us/new-jersey-high-school-deepfake-porn/index.html

We also need better vocabulary to talk about these tools that are all getting lumped into AI. Deepfakes, computer generated, autogenerated articles, dynamic coding, and so much other computer created content and computer tools.

What I'm picking up loud n' clear is Republican contempt for young people. Couldn't be that young people care about real issues like climate change or gay rights or abortion rights or student loans and have correctly perceived that Republicans are their sworn enemies on each and every one of these issues. No, someone must be "fooling" them into voting for Democrats using celebrity worship, the only thing inside their empty little heads. Ramaswamy even proposed we raise the voting age to 25, although it's not like 26-year-olds feel any more positively towards the Republicans. Try raising it to 65, asshole.
