Hey Parker, I notice some of your posts I can comment on (like this one) and some I'm blocked from commenting on. When I can't comment, I also don't see other comments. The two posts you made before this had that problem. Each time, I'm just clicking on the "comment" link in the email you send out.
I appreciate your predictions and I’m quite concerned about no regulation of AI by the states. It’s the “callibration bias” you are discussing. The right-wing extremists know how to do this well. There’s such a threat to great journalism and reporting. I financially support independent journalism, and so hope we aren’t stuck with the false media stories that brainwash and harm the mental health of the right-wing Trump supporters.
In addition to the infusion of AI into news and, er, every facet of our lives, the alignment of news media with gambling interfaces like Kalshi is deeply unsettling. The moral implications of wagering on events like starvation in Gaza are bad enough, but this market seems highly vulnerable to manipulation. It all certainly doesn't engender trust in mainstream media.
