I just sent in a small donation to the nonprofit news site Fresnoland (and I live 1500 miles from Fresno!) because I read about the excellent work they're doing chasing down rumors that are terrifying immigrants in their community. Giving people accurate information, links to resources that can help them, that's the kind of reporting I want to support!
I wouldn't necessarily have thought about WIRED as a source of reliable reporting about Elon's ongoing misdeeds, conceiving of them as too niche or perhaps belonging to the wrong niche. I suppose this is an "all hands on deck" moment, though, isn't it?
The President can hire people to help advise and carry out the Pesident's agenda without legislative nor voter approval. Calm down.
It is telling that Democrats are so wee weed up about government efficiency progress. That shows Democrats have been party to the political and money corruption being uncovered.
Democrat judges doing activism instead of their job. We have seen that before. It will end up with SCOTUS. The risk to Democrats is that SCOTUS issues a final that gives Trump more definitive power. Meanwhile you never opposed Biden ignoring the courts to give student loan forgiveness to all his upper class supporters.
Hawaii liberals have the right to fuck things up the rest of Hawaiians. They have a great track record for doing that. You think there will be no consequences for this idiocy?
SCOTUS does not rule to help brain-fractured liberals from making a mess out of their own state. You must know that we are a republic.
The consequences of suing the oil industry are either:
1) You lose and get no money
2) You win and get some money
"Totally fucks you up" isn't on the list.
So sure, I'll buy a chance at getting some money out of those big-oil bastards. The AG's office already has a building full of lawyers on the payroll, why not put 'em to work on something that has a chance of paying for itself many times over? What's the downside, Frank? That you'll be so mad you cancel your Hawaii vacation and go to Florida instead? Oh, that would be too bad for those poor Hawaiians.
This is good as it will force the Supreme Court to decide and will likely give Trump more definitive authority. These lower court judges are just part of the swamp.
