I really believe these people don’t have any real problems. Because who the hell would come up with this as a story and actually publish it without being embarrassed? I’ve lived in DC for 28 years and just can’t believe how Bezos has wrecked the Washington Post. I’ve cancelled and completely forgotten about them.

It strikes me that the very premise of this column violates that first pillar. Even if the premise was true, part of personal liberty is the freedom to be a hypocrite.
As dumb (and disingenuous) as Henderson's take is, what is even worse is the target audience will accept its curated conclusion (utterly fabricated also works) without question and deem it further validation of the "liberals! hypocrisy much?" right-wing stereotype.

As long as there's the thinnest patina of analysis, no matter how laughably flawed, painted over their social disquiet and grievance, it merits an audience. Of course, on cable TV even the patina is unnecessary.
