Sigh., "no one charged in the [J6] attack having any connection to the anti-fascist movement" That is exactly the sort of thing the deepens the conspiracy addicts conviction: "cover up, of course they didn't arrest the antifa." There is no getting through to them.

Exactly, "No evidence of vote fraud" they take as proof of a coverup.

Carl Sagan's "Demon-Haunted World" preferred to it as "The Dragon In My Garage"; you can't see it because it's invisible, you can't touch it because it moves out of the way, and a whole string of excuses... BUT THE DRAGON IS REALLY REAL!! they insist, with no shred of evidence.

I had heard Mike Lee said something repugnant about the shooting. Thanks for saving me the small trouble of finding it on my own. The man should be ashamed, but clearly, he has no shame.

And when it's all said and done, it morphs into, "He was mentally ill! Why does it always have to be political with you people!"

Local News is reporting he had a list of names of "lawmakers" in his car, they named some of them, including my own Congressman, Marc Pocan, and Gwen Moore from Milwaukee. What they DIDN'T note was what all these lawmakers had in common. You know, just makin' a list of random elected officials like crazy people do.

The denial of truth is extreme. I saw a photo of someone at the No Kings march with a T-shirt and sign: 'Make Lying Wrong Again'.

I remember the Clintons. Supposedly had a bunch of people eliminated. The funny thing was, they killed their friends, and let their enemies live. If they had plugged Newt Gingrich and Kenneth Starr, what DC jury would have convicted them?

Well, that's the Democrats for ya. In 2016 they were able to pull MILLIONS of votes out of thin air, and for reasons no one can understand they decided to put 'em all in California.

Isn't this Steve Bannon's strategy of "Flood the zone with shit"? Right after a high-profile shooting (regular shootings no longer attract our attention, we're Americans) people want answers and they head to the internet, be there first with the lies for a big WIN for your team!

"Because for these people, every tragedy is just another opportunity to advance their political agenda, even if it means dancing on the graves of the victims to do it."

I'd argue that for a lot of these skels, dancing on the graves of the victims is not an unfortunate step they're ashamed of having to take, it's icing on their bigotry cakes. Like, they'd be celebrating amongst themselves regardless, but this way they get to cheer the deaths of "enemies" *and* push their agenda

History tells us the strategic and tactical operation of inflicting a deliberately traumatic event and further weaponizing it with Big-Lie propaganda is at least as old as patriarchy. The result is either imposed or intensified tyranny or confusion so impenetrable the target population cannot effectively respond. Its modern operational model is the Reichstag Fire, by which the Original Nazis rationalized Hitler's imposition of zero-tolerance dictatorship. Similar dynamics appear in U.S. history following ruling class adoption of a huge, still-partly classified number of Original Nazi war-criminals as advisors and comrades-at-arms. Exemplary events include the political murders that slew the optimism of the '60s; LBJ's Gulf of Tonkin deception; 9/11 (which many consider our own Reichstag Fire); and now the obvious, Trump-encouraged campaign of murder, assault and political persecution against anyone the conquering Christonazi theocrats deem an enemy.

In assessing the threat implicit in such events, we must look beyond specific incidents to the greater patterns they collectively reveal, including indications of our foe's intent and capability. It helps to apply a basic axiom of intelligence analysis: "Once is coincidence; twice is suspicious; three times is enemy action." Thus the predictably repetitious, instantaneous dissemination of pre-scripted propaganda campaigns to repeat the post-Reichstag-Fire campaign's result of blaming the left for an atrocity of the right should tell us the assailants portrayed by mainstream media as demented individuals are in fact the strategic and tactical antithesis of the proverbial "lone gunman." These perpe-traitors are instead trained Christonazi agents agents acting under specific orders with guaranteed propaganda cover and further encouraged by the prospect of presidential pardons. We thus glimpse our species' most terrible truth: that in Trump, We the (Humanitarian) People are beset by the intended fulfillment of a breathtakingly vast, unprecedentedly clandestine malignancy of Absolute Evil that is sure to be our doom unless we awaken to its magnitude and organize our defenses accordingly.

So, attack the "killer is a lefty" conspiracy reporting spew and go off on a "killer is a righty" conspiracy reporting spew.

And then expect that to result in some congratulations for being the better reporter?

What I read is that the killer was another nut case... unemployed but with unexplained money to fund an upper middle-class lifestyle and murder project.

In terms of political orientation, clearly, we are again talking about someone with mental health disorders... which based on the science and statistics makes him more likely a lefty.

But that does not matter. What matters is the political rhetoric from our leaders and media talking heads that is fomenting fear, anger and frustration into the population to try and influence a mass political direction. If we want to pin real responsibility for all the political violence we are seeing today, those are the people we should be holding to account.

Yeah, I don't see why anyone needs to bring politics into it, I'm happy to go with just "White guy who LOVES GUNS." I mean, that's what we all need to look out for, isn't it?
