The quest to make it appear as though trans people are disproportionately violent compared to the enormous number of cis white male shooters is ridiculous, but I have a question about those numbers and hit a paywall on the Wired site: is the "3 trans shooters out of 4 dozen school shootings" figure accurate? I've only seen one confirmed case (the Minnesota one) where the shooter was trans. But if there are 3 out of 48 ("four dozen"), isn't that a rate of 6.25? Even so, if you add in all the mass shootings that weren't at school (we have SO many of those) maybe that's how you get to .1%?
Regardless, if we cared about reducing mass shootings there are way more compelling areas to expend our energies than in harassing and demonizing trans people.
