" This is something that if Republican politicians did not talk about it, there would be no problem. But they do."

This shit makes me crazy. It's the same as gay marriage back in the late 90s/early 00s - it wasn't an issue until some GOP asshat decided to make it one. And then, when people pushed back, they were subject to all kinds of abuse.

Ridiculous. And so infuriating that they keep getting away with it.

This is terrific! Yes, we need to see more trans folks on CNN and everywhere!

Thank you Parker!

Parker—you are amazing. I started following you on Twitter years ago because you were so smart and funny. I'm glad that I found you on Substack and became a subscriber. I learn from you every time you write a column. It’s nice to see that Jake values your input and put you on national tv. You did a fabulous job.

Congrats on meeting him and appearing on his show. On the other hand, it looks like he is missing the larger picture by pigeon holing you into the trans sport lady

Kudos to CNN for having you on. I only read the transcript, but it looks like you carried yourself with aplomb, as is no surprise. Congrats.

Great segment! So glad they had you on to address this vile ad campaign. I've had many issues with Jake Tapper but good on him for giving you the mic

Just got to watch this; you were great Parker. These ads have made me so mad. Like Tapper I watch a lot of Phillies and Eagles games and I see them constantly. I'm glad people are finally starting to talk about them, because they are vile. And I'm glad that CNN gave a trans woman a chance to speak about it, since they have not been good at all about using their platform to promote trans voices. In my heart I believe that these ads will backfire, as they are SO dehumanizing, and I hope that they do at least lead to the mainstream offering more direct support for trans people.

These ads are really vile. I’m a trans person in a solidly blue state, so I hadn’t encountered many, but seeing them every commercial break while out watching the World Series was really upsetting.
