This ties into another thing the media does that's driving me nuts: Trump does or says something truly, objectively crazy and the pundits tap themselves sagaciously on the forehead and say, "Sure, crazy LIKE A FOX", and then go on to make up - completely out of thin air- some supposedly brilliant "strategy" Tubby is following. No, he's a deranged old man who hurts people and breaks things because it's FUN. He says crazy shit because he's crazy, also saying crazy shit is FUN.

Guess it's too much to ask that they stop acting as Trump's PR Department?

Great post. Very important that we show that “they don’t own us” (to borrow from the series finale of ANGEL).

I mean, the idea of a "hyperreality" makes sense. The whole Republican Party only succeeds because of distortion and outright denial of objective facts. Without conceding to their framing on issues and their personal narratives, they are a party which exists only to screw over us in the 99%, starting with the least privileged among us. It's all a shell game.

For anyone who thinks the Democrats are on our side in this case (as well as every other case), I would like to point out that, indeed, they are not. Well, not all of them in unity, as you would expect.

95 Democrats voted to HONOR Charlie Kirk.
